The Mad Professor Seed has that ‘off the rails’ riff vs vocal that oozes dissonance like I haven’t heard in this genre before. Superb

Adam Melodious Lynchian story-telling. A sad, ethereal soundtrack for lost souls, nature dwellers, path seekers, and temple explorers. My favourite release of 2016. Absolutely love it. Favorite track: Cold Skin.
Art Fin
Art Fin thumbnail
Art Fin This slow, brooding, psychedelic, dark rock trio of creative musicians from New Zealand reminds me very much of Warpaint, a little of Wolf Alice and going back further, may have been influenced by seminal slow-paced hard rock bands like Black Sabbath. They have a newer LP due out August 2017 on Flying Nun. Favorite track: Seed.

desertindecay.com The underwater dreaminess of this new version of one of my favorite songs from their EPs is simply brilliant Favorite track: Wander.

Slow Days 04:55
Your grip is tightening around my throat and I can't sleep with you watching me like that Our heads at the water's edge, I set stones upon your skin and like the afterglow of a dream I clung to your words The day is slow And I wait My head is turning to meet your eye I can't dream - It's endlessly on my mind I did it to teach you And you learn very well Now I'll loosen the leash You can crawl home in the rain I'm the shadow on your sun Don't you call my name You've got bad lands to cross Changing with the wind I'm the shadow on your sun Don't you call my name You've got bad lands to cross Changing with the wind

Undergrowth 05:04
The water is closing over our heads The dirt is crumbling beneath my feet Keep your eyes on the sky You're silently swimming next to me The crawling ocean consumes you whole Keep your eyes on the sky Over your head, out of the rain Lugging the weight of my words Over your head, out of the rain Lugging the weight of my words Keep your eyes on my eyes Follow me through the undergrowth They'd like to see the garden, to bathe in the light But they'll never know Over your head, out of the rain Lugging the weight of my words Over your head, out of the rain Lugging the weight of my words Glowing, Humming Glowing, Humming Glowing, Humming In the undergrowth...

Cold Skin 04:56
Let me fold around you Taste your skin Oh, such heavy skies Cold skin on the sand I've had the strangest thoughts I've had the strangest thoughts I watch you move and you're all mine I watch you move and you're all mine Who are you? Why you messing with my mind? Tell me who you are and why you're going Tell me who you are and why you're going

Seed 04:35
The birds planted seeds around my feet Circling my head for days Willing me to grow The grain, the root Grounded in the dirt The grain, the root Grounded in the dirt Grow! Grow out of your mind Winter is ahead Long and still The wild trees surround me, Smothering Restless and ageless, Standing tall. Restless and ageless, Standing tall Grow! Grow out of your mind I'm feeling under pressure Turning my brain inside out You want me, You want me, Turning my brain inside out
